Christmas Fever!

So busy, busy, busy… Have no time for writing. All those Christmas presents, shopping lists and so on. I’ve just wanted to tell you a few words about the certain Christmas slot. As I’ve already mentioned, there is no way of escaping from Christmas atmosphere so I gave up and began to spin the reels of some Christmas slots.

Which one is my favourite? A brand new “Merry Xmas” slot from Play’n Go. Why? It’s simple – because it has great graphics and attractive special features.

Just for start, I like “Merry Xmas” for its neat look. Unlike most of the Christmas slots, it does not show shiny background and childish icons, but instead, it povides the player with well-designed 3D graphics and animations. Finally something more sophistcated than drawings of 3-year-old babies.

The whole gamescreen is set on the window of a Christmas-decorated house. Next to the reels you can see a glowing candle. If you look carefully, you will also notice snow falling behind the windows (and behind the reels). Among the symbols there are the images of bows, raindeers, candles, Santa Claus, Christmas balls, cansy canes, and of course, presents.

First, there are 4 kinds of Wilds which also serve as the multipliers. I’ve managed to catch this symbol many times and it helped me form many winning combinations.

Christmas is coming!

There is no chance to escape from Chistmas rush. I’ve tried to do it many times, but I never suceeded in reaching that goal. No matter how hard you try, you have to take part in the craziness of pre-Christmas season. All those shiny shop malls, Christmas trees on the streets and in the shopping centres, TV commercials and people buying presents… No wonder that even I, so prefectly down-to-earth guy, started to think about Christmas. I would not be myself, if I didn’t correspond those experiences with my game choices:)

I’m not a great fan of most Santa Claus slots, so I was really happy to find a game which talks about Christmas but does not show a fat guy in red clothes. What is its name? “Ghosts of Christmas”!

“Ghosts of Christmas” is a charming 3D slot from Playtech. The game is loosely connected with the plot of popular “Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. On the reels of the game you will find the symbols of funny Christmas ghosts, Scrooge, turkey, vintage clock, death and Bob Kracher. All icons are quite grotesque which turns the slot into a really funny experience.

If you are lucky while playing the game, you will be able to take advantage of different special features attached to the slot.

There is a Wild symbol in the shape of Scrooge holding a gold coin. It may replace all other symbols and forma many winning combinations.

Two weeks ago I’ve told you a bit about my favourite classic slot from Wazdan. I have to admit that I’ve found some brand new games from this developer and they are even better than their older brothers and sisters 😉

As the days are getting shorter and darker, I felt the need to cheer myself up by spinning the reels of some crazy holiday-themed slot. I’ve chosen “Beach Party” and immediately fell in love with this game.

Nothing less and nothing more. Simple as that.

Let your spirit soar with “Sea of Tranquility” slot!

Not long ago I found myself in a terrible state of autumn sadness. Do you know what I mean? All those pesimistic thoughts and a complete lack of energy. As usual, I tried to raise my spirits with some nice slots:) And luckily, I’ve found the one, which helped me forget about the outside world!

“1 Can 2 Can” – Love at First Sight!

I hate all classic fruit themed slots…

I’ve told you about it several times and I am a bit ashamed to admit that I’ve found the one that really matches my tastes: “1 Can 2 Can” from Next Gen company.

First of all: the game has such a great look that I don’t notice all those fruit! The reels are set at the heart of the tropical jungle: you can see some green trees, exotic flowers, waterfall and of course two toucans! Those two friendly birds are able to fly around the reels and eat some fruit stored on the game screen. Each time they are hungry, they crash chosen symbols and turn them into the ones needed to complement the winning combination. You don’t need to catch any Wild symbols – your Wilds will be created from random fruit eaten by the birds!

To be honest, I understand all actions taken by the toucans – if I could, I would also taste all those delicious fruit as they look really tasty!

The next thing that the toucans can do is to add some Scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 or 4. Each time you stop the reels, your flying companions will turn up on the reels and replace random symbols into Scatters. If you catch 3 Scatters on the game screen, You will win 10 Free Games during which toucans become much more hungry and add more Wilds for more wins.

I cannot get enough of this game!  Its mouth watering graphics and funny toucans are really amazing. And, after all, all those fruit serve only as decorations for standard card symbols, so maybe I am not getting crazy? Wishful thinking 🙂

Meet a Family of Friendly Zombies in “The Zombies” Slot!

I’ve always loved all things connected with zombies: movies, books, comics, even slots. Some time ago, however, I’ve realised that all those zombie themed productions have got identical plot and concentrate on the same characters. And as usual, I got bored! Probably that explains my first sceptical approach towards “The Zombies”. I didn’t want to play another game with ugly monsters. You can imagine how shocked I was when I saw this crazy slot!

“The Zombies” shows the everyday life of green-skinned family of zombies. They lead the normal existence of simple bread eaters. There is a father zombie, his pretty wife and their two cute children. They all look really nice and…ordinary! The Zombies are presented doing their everyday chores: playing, cooking and cleaning. Among the symbols presented on the game screen you will find the images of flowers, newspapers, postal boxes and waste bins.

The game is available in two different modes: Power Game and Easy Game. The first one is announced with the appearance of the father next to the reels while the Easy Mode is represented by the mother. If you want to fight for more frequent but a bit smaller wins, you shall play Easy Game. If you wish for bigger wins, you should try Power Game.

What’s more, “The Zombies” offers many special features such as Zombie Bonus Games, Free Spins, Pick-a-Spin feature, Wilds, Scatters and Bonuses.

You will manage to trigger Zombie Bonus Party which equals 10 Free Spins if you catch three or more family symbols on the reels.

The Zombie Bonus Game, on the other hand, is activated each time you succeed in stopping the reels with the symbol of Parent Zombie meeting the Bad Zombie. During that game you will have to kill the Bad Zombie with a given weapon. It is a great fun but most of all, it can reward you with some great winnings thanks to the big multipliers!

I’ve played this game several times and I didn’t get bored with it – it’s a miracle! At the time when most of the games make me totally sick, “The Zombie” provided me with great entertainment and I think it will remain on the list of my favourite slots released this year.

“Pyrons” – Explosion of Winnings? Rather not…

I have to tell you about my last discovery! I’ve found a new slot from Yggdrasil – “Pyrons”. Have you ever tried Yggdrasil’s slots? If not, you have to do it, because Yggdrasil is one of the most innovative software providers available on the market.

But let’s concentrate on “Pyrons”.

I have to admit that I was really excited about this release. And at the first glance it seemed that the game deserved my anticipation as it looks totally crazy! On its reels you can see the glass balls filled with the standard fruit symbols drowned in the colourful explosive substances. You do not spin the reels like in the most slots. So how do you get the points? If you catch at least three matching symbols in the winning line, they are going to explode, disappear and leave an empty space for the next glass balls which are dropped down from the top of the game screen.  It is quite nice to look at and I felt really happy each time I managed to get those explosive winnings.

Unfortunately, despite the fantastic look, the game has one weak point: it has almost no special features.

The only thing it has to offer is the multiplier meter visible on the left side of the game screen. After each win your multiplier increases and it may boost your winnings up to 20 times. But the best thing about the multipliers is that they are able to actvate a special animation in which the blue flames spread over the whole game screen.

So, what is my general opinion about “Pyrons”? I think it won’t become one of my favourite slots. I prefer more exciting games which are able to entertain me with some Bonus Games or at least offer Scatters or Wilds.

I think I’ll stay with a bit older slot from Yggrasil – “Magic Mushrooms”. Maybe I’ll write about it in my next post 🙂

Best Autumn Slot? Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde!

I’ve been asked recently about the best slot for a rainy weather. Is there anything suitable for wet and cold autumn evenings? I must admit that I didn’t know what to say. Do I have my favourite slot for such circumstances? For sure there is one slot that is a perfect choice for darker days: Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde!

Released earlier this year, this fantastic game had to wait for my approval almost three months. As almost everyone, during sunny summer days I had no taste for the gloomy atmosphere of Jekyll and Hyde story and found myself interested in more colourful and light themes: ice cream or bikini girls. So it was only now that I got aware of the beauty of Betsoft’s “Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde”.

What is so special about this slot?

First of all, its graphics. The game features 3D images of both characters, which will surely make you experience the whole mood of Stevenson’s story to the smallest detail. During the game you are taken to the dark streets of London where you can meet Mr Hyde and join him in his secret excursions. What is more, the game screen is placed on different backgrounds: you can play inside Dr Jekyll’s study or walk around the city.

The next great advantage lies in the number of special features. I like the idea of Wilds, Freenzy Bonus Games and multipliers. Thanks to those options, your time spent in the world of the game turns into a completely rewarding experience as there are so many different things happening at the time of your game that you simply strart to lose the contact with the outside world.

In short: if you are looking for a perfect slot for a slightly colder weather, try “Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde” as it is this autumn must-play!

Lost Island – Slot for Demanding Players

My last posts were centered around the brand new slots. I’ve realised today that I haven’t written anything about my personal slot-tastes yet. That is why today I’m going to write a few words about one of my favourite slots: “Lost Island”.

“Lost Island” is a 5-reel and 20-payline slot from Net Entertainment. The first time I’ve seen that game, I thought: “finally a game for me!”. I think it was love at the first sight! The first thing that attracted my attention were the graphics. Good-looking, colourful, three dimensional symbols presenting the images which bring into mind the secret treasures hidden in the jungle. In general, the basic theme of this beautiful game is totally appealling: lost island, which keeps some artefacts of gone-by civilisation. Great theme for a slot, don’t you think so? While spinning the reels, you feel like a great adventurer on a secret mission in some distant and uncivilised land.

I am also amazed with the amount and quality of special features offered in that game. There is a Wild symbol in shape of lotus flower and a Scatter represented by the gold jewel. The Wild is able to replace all other symbols, while the Scatter may trigger some extra Free Spins. But it’s not all. During all Free Spins, lotus flower automatically appears at the central position on reel 3 and remains there till the end of chargeless spins. What’s more, Wilds can occur as single or stacked symbols and they always bring you a nice multiplier.

For some of you all those features may look quite ordinary, but believe me, “Lost Island” offers you something more than great winnings: it is able to take you on an exciting excursion and make you lose contact with the outside world.
